Project Overview

35 Cambridge Park Drive is a Class-A laboratory building situated in the vibrant North Cambridge neighborhood. The objective was to attract life science tenants by highlighting the building’s dynamic environment and extensive amenities, which include first-floor retail storefronts, a kitchenette, bike storage and repair facilities, a tenant café and lounge, and a fitness center.

The color palette was deliberately chosen to be bold and energetic, featuring a mix of blue, orange, and purple. Blue conveys trust and professionalism, orange adds warmth and vitality, while purple introduces a sense of creativity and sophistication. Typography played a key role in setting the tone: I selected bold sans-serif fonts that emphasize clarity and modernity, supporting easy readability and a confident brand voice.

Design Strategy

To reflect the vibrant energy of North Cambridge and attract the life science community, I developed a bold visual identity centered around a geometric logo. Its rounded angles and clean lines echo the building’s modern, innovative character. As a decorative element, the logo was also adapted into a background pattern to reinforce the brand throughout the design.

Outcome

The client was thrilled with the design and, while collaborating with an external agency to rebrand their entire portfolio, chose to use this design as the foundation for their rebranding efforts.
